Richard C. Habermehl Sr, Age 79, of
Wilmington, Ohio, passed away, Friday Afternoon, March 4, 2011 at his home
in Wilmington, Ohio. He was born
March 21, 1931 in Augusta, KY, son of the late Fred & Anna (Schadle)
Habermehl Sr. He married Janet M.
Keller Habermehl, who preceded him in death.
Richard was a Veteran of the US Navy for 14 years, then went to the
Wilmington Air Force Base as an Air Craft Mechanic.
He was a member of St. Columbkille
Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #3369, Wilmington American Legion Post
#49, VFW Post #6710, and Former Member of the Elks Lodge#797.
Surviving are his 8 Children- Richard (Jennifer) Habermehl Jr, Joe
(Margi) Habermehl, Paul (Leida) Habermehl, Terry (Beth) Habermehl, Jim
(Christy) Habermehl, Marti (Mike) Burton, Barb (Wells) Rankin, and Tina
(Bill) Wells; Brother- Stanley Habermehl of Augusta, KY; 2 sisters-Ruth
Laycock of Augusta, KY and Ethel Doddridge of Lynchburg, Ohio, who passed
away on Saturday, March 5; 17 Grandchildren- Rick, Stephanie, Lindsey, Andy,
Matt, Ali, Emma, Eric (Alicia), Elizabeth, Patrick, Alex, Sarah, Bradley,
Ashley, Justin, Jessica, & Tyler and 2 Great-Grandsons- Gehrig & Grayden.
In addition to his parents and wife,
Richard was preceded in death by Five Brothers, Fred, Robert, Louis,
Charles, & Bernard Habermehl; & a sister- Betty Appleman.
Prayers will be said 10:00 AM,
Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, 97 West Locust
Street at North Mulberry Street, Wilmington, followed by Mass of Christian
Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Columbkillle Catholic Church, 73 West Mulberry
Street, Wilmington with Rev. James M. Wedig officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sugar
Grove Cemetery, Wilmington, OH.
Friends will
be received at Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington, OH from 4-8 PM,
Ash Wednesday, March 9, 2011.
