Donald A. Palmer, 69,
of Rushville, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at Fairfield
Medical Center
in Lancaster. Donald
was born August 25, 1936, in Washington Court House to Phillip and Jennie (Beedy) Palmer. He retired from the Air Force Reserve after
22 years and from General Motors as a plumber. Donald was a member of St. Mark
Church, Eagles post 2120 and American Legion. Donald is survived by son, Kevin
Donald Palmer of Washington Court House, daughter, Kimberly Palmer of Washington
Court House; fiancée, Kathy Wingenter of Lancaster;
step-daughter, Kelly (Mike) Sheffield; sisters, Betty J. Jette
of Washington Court House, Helen M. Moore of Springfield; brothers, Raymond (Paula)
Palmer of Rushville,
Phillip (Rose) Palmer Jr. of Athens; Nephew Stephen (Shirley) Jette of Jamestown; several nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by parents and brother, George H. Palmer. A funeral mass will be conducted 11:00 am
Wednesday at St. Mark Church with Fr. Peter M. Gideon as celebrant. Interment
will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 pm Tuesday at Sheridan Funeral Home where a vigil
service will be held at 5:00 pm. The Lancaster Ohio Veterans Burial Detail will
conduct a military graveside.
